What are some of the potholes that have been stepped on in food labeling audits over the years?
Since 2012, I have stepped into the food production and processing industry, and I have audited and confirmed hundreds and thousands of labels, and I have encountered many potholes in the process, some of which I have avoided and some of which I have lost my footing.
I have experienced many encounters with professional counterfeiters, and I have gained a deeper understanding of the relevant regulations and standards. To be honest, without the fault-finding of professional counterfeiters, we may not have paid so much attention to the labeling audit, thanks to them in urging us to keep learning and improving! Of course, this is an external factor to promote the standardization of food labeling for enterprises, for the enterprises themselves, but also to meet the rising demand of consumers. Food labeling is a window to the outside world, a medium of communication with consumers, consumers can understand the attributes of the product and nutritional information through the labeling information, the regulatory authorities will also confirm product compliance through the labeling.
Food labeling audit needs to be very careful and rigorous, the old driver stepped on a lot of pits, but more and more cautious, sometimes to confirm a question to consult a lot of information, against the standard terms and conditions, deliberations for a long time. Recently, I have taken the time to organize some of the pits stepped on over the years, to give you some reference, and perhaps have a reference value. Limited to personal level, or there are errors and omissions, welcome to correct and exchange!
