The anti-fatigue effect of tonic drugs is mainly exerted through the mechanism of action of increasing the levels of hepatic glycogen and myoglycogen, lactate dehydrogenase, superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase, and decreasing the levels of lactate, serum urea nitrogen and malondialdehyde.
