This product is the dried stems and leaves of the grass family plant Lophatherum gracile Brongn. It is harvested in summer before the flower spikes are drawn, and dried in the sun.

Characteristics] The product is 25-75cm long, with cylindrical stems, nodes, yellowish-green surface, and hollow cross-section. Leaf sheaths are dehiscent. Leaf blade lanceolate, some wrinkled and curled, 5-20cm long, 1-3.5cm wide; surface light green or yellowish green. Leaf veins parallel, with transverse veinlets, forming a rectangular grid, especially obvious on the lower surface. The body is light and pliable. Slight gas, light flavor.

Sweet, light, cold. Attributed to the heart, stomach and small intestine meridians.

1、Bacteriostatic effect
