Il s'agit d'une herbe vivace, rampante et racinaire largement r\u00e9pandue dans des provinces telles que le Guangdong, le Guangxi et le Yunnan. Elle est utilis\u00e9e depuis longtemps comme plante m\u00e9dicinale et comestible en Chine. Le faux konjac a un go\u00fbt piquant et une nature chaleureuse. Il a pour effet de dissiper le vent et le froid, de favoriser le qi et de soulager la douleur. Utilis\u00e9 comme racine m\u00e9dicinale, il peut servir \u00e0 traiter des maladies telles que les plaies, les gonflements et les toxines, les rhumatismes, les douleurs osseuses, les blessures traumatiques et la toux due au vent et au froid. Ses tiges et ses feuilles tendres sont consomm\u00e9es comme l\u00e9gumes dans certaines r\u00e9gions du sud de la Chine. Des recherches ont montr\u00e9 que le faux konjac contient divers composants chimiques tels que des alcalo\u00efdes, des flavono\u00efdes et des ph\u00e9nols. Les activit\u00e9s biologiques rapport\u00e9es comprennent des effets anti-inflammatoires, antibact\u00e9riens, antid\u00e9presseurs, antioxydants et neuroprotecteurs.<br \/>\nLa recherche de compos\u00e9s ou de composants antibact\u00e9riens dans les produits naturels est une source et une voie importantes pour la d\u00e9couverte et l'application de m\u00e9dicaments antimicrobiens.
