Se utiliza como hierba medicinal y tiene efectos de detenci\u00f3n de hemorragias, alivio del dolor, propiedades antibacterianas y antiinflamatorias. Existen informes sobre la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de la Camellia sinensis, que incluyen principalmente flavonoides, terpenos y trifenilfenoles polic\u00edclicos poliisopreno sustituidos. Sin embargo, hay pocos informes sobre los metabolitos secundarios de los hongos end\u00f3fitos de Camellia sinensis. Nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n obtuvo un hongo endof\u00edtico Phomopsis prunorum (F4-3) de las hojas de plantas de Camellia sinensis en la zona de Shennongjia en la etapa inicial.
