Hasta la fecha, se han identificado aproximadamente 300.000 compuestos a partir de microorganismos, de los cuales m\u00e1s de 60% de los antibi\u00f3ticos proceden de Streptomyces. Sin embargo, con el aislamiento de un gran n\u00famero de metabolitos secundarios, la probabilidad de descubrir antibi\u00f3ticos con actividad biol\u00f3gica significativa y estructuras novedosas a partir de Streptomyces est\u00e1 disminuyendo. Sin embargo, con el uso generalizado de antibi\u00f3ticos, los problemas de resistencia y superbacterias son cada vez m\u00e1s prominentes. Para abordar los problemas de la resistencia a los f\u00e1rmacos y las superbacterias, necesitamos explorar urgentemente nuevos antibi\u00f3ticos.
