Las esponjas son los segundos organismos marinos m\u00e1s grandes y se consideran la fuente m\u00e1s abundante de productos naturales del oc\u00e9ano. La esponja del g\u00e9nero Dactylosongia posee abundantes metabolitos secundarios bioactivos. La composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de este g\u00e9nero de esponjas descrita en la bibliograf\u00eda incluye principalmente quinonas\/hidroquinonas sesquiterp\u00e9nicas, \u00e1cidos sesquiterp\u00e9nicos, diterpenos, esteroides, sesquiterpenos y otros tipos de compuestos, la mayor\u00eda de los cuales son quinonas\/hidroquinonas sesquiterp\u00e9nicas.
