Es una planta medicinal y comestible; las hojas de cola de zorra contienen abundantes sustancias activas como flavonoides, polifenoles, aceites vol\u00e1tiles y polisac\u00e1ridos, que tienen efectos antioxidantes, antibacterianos, antitumorales y antiinflamatorios. En la actualidad, la investigaci\u00f3n sobre las hojas de Eucommia ulmoides se centra principalmente en la extracci\u00f3n de principios activos, efectos farmacol\u00f3gicos y aplicaciones en el procesado de alimentos. Los polisac\u00e1ridos son los principales componentes funcionales de las hojas, y el contenido de pectina alcanza los 35,53%. La investigaci\u00f3n sobre los polisac\u00e1ridos de las hojas de la madera apestosa se centra principalmente en la extracci\u00f3n y las propiedades antioxidantes y antiinflamatorias de los polisac\u00e1ridos solubles en \u00e1cido e hidrosolubles. Shi et al. compararon los efectos de la extracci\u00f3n \u00e1cida, la extracci\u00f3n alcalina y la extracci\u00f3n asistida por ultrasonidos con oxalato de amonio sobre la actividad antioxidante de la pectina de la madera de tofu. Los resultados mostraron que el m\u00e9todo de extracci\u00f3n con \u00e1lcali ten\u00eda la mejor capacidad de eliminaci\u00f3n de radicales libres DPPH y radicales libres hidroxilo, y su actividad antioxidante era superior a la de los otros dos m\u00e9todos de extracci\u00f3n. Se realizaron experimentos de factor \u00fanico y de superficie de respuesta para optimizar el proceso de extracci\u00f3n de polisac\u00e1ridos solubles en \u00e1lcali (PLAP) de las hojas de Premna puberula Pamp, y para explorar la capacidad antioxidante in vitro y la actividad antitumoral de los PLAP. El proceso de extracci\u00f3n \u00f3ptimo para el PLAP se obtuvo mediante experimentos de un solo factor y de superficie de respuesta: relaci\u00f3n l\u00edquido\/material de 1:50g\/mL, concentraci\u00f3n de NaOH de 0,25mmol\/L, tiempo de extracci\u00f3n de 110min, y tasa de extracci\u00f3n de PLAP de (11,80 \u00b1 0,50)% en estas condiciones; el PLAP tiene buena capacidad antioxidante, con valores de IC50 de 0.18, 3,22 y 12,38 mg\/mL para radicales ABTS, radicales hidroxilo y radicales DPPH, respectivamente; el experimento de actividad antitumoral mostr\u00f3 que el PLAP tiene un cierto efecto inhibidor sobre la proliferaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas A549 y HepG2, mostrando ambas un efecto dosis significativo (P&lt;0,05).
