According to the reply letter from the General Office of the National Health and Family Planning Commission on the issues related to the use of oligofructose (National Health Office Food Letter [2013] No. 118): <strong>oligofructose is a commonly used food ingredient<\/strong>, and is also included in the &#8220;Standard for the Use of Food Nutritional Strengthening Agents&#8221; (GB14880-2012) <strong>food nutritional fortification agents<\/strong>. The use of oligofructose in infant food and prepared milk powder should be in line with the provisions of the Standard for the Use of Food Nutritional Fortifiers (GB14880-2012). Oligofructose as a food ingredient used in other foods, should be consistent with the standards of the corresponding food.<\/p>\n<p>3.
