I udviklingslandene kan animalsk protein ofte ikke opfylde det ern\u00e6ringsm\u00e6ssige behov p\u00e5 75 gram protein pr. indbygger pr. dag p\u00e5 grund af den lave konverteringsrate for animalsk protein, hvilket har sat fokus p\u00e5 udviklingen af planteprotein.<\/p>\n<p>I Kina har det nationale r\u00e5dgivende udvalg for f\u00f8devarer og ern\u00e6ring iv\u00e6rksat en \"handlingsplan for sojab\u00f8nner\" og opstillet specifikke udviklingsm\u00e5l for sojab\u00f8nner. I de udviklede lande er man bange for kolesterol i animalske f\u00f8devarer, og de seneste ern\u00e6ringsm\u00e6ssige og epidemiologiske unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at sojaf\u00f8devarer har en kolesterols\u00e6nkende effekt og forebygger kr\u00e6ft og andre sundhedsskadelige virkninger. Derfor styrkes og uddybes udviklingen af forskning i sojab\u00f8nnef\u00f8devarer konstant.
