Det for\u00e5rsager ikke kun betydelige \u00f8konomiske tab, men nogle svampe producerer ogs\u00e5 svampetoksiner, der udg\u00f8r en potentiel trussel mod menneskers liv og sikkerhed. Brugen af svampemidler kan i h\u00f8j grad h\u00e6mme forekomsten og udviklingen af frugt- og gr\u00f8ntsagssygdomme efter h\u00f8st. Men stigende forskning og praksis har vist, at langvarig brug af fungicider i stor skala kan f\u00f8re til \u00f8get patogenresistens. Samtidig med at folks bevidsthed om sundheds- og milj\u00f8beskyttelse forts\u00e6tter med at stige, f\u00e5r udviklingen af sikrere, mindre giftige og mindre restkoncentrationer af nye naturlige svampemidler stigende opm\u00e6rksomhed.<\/p>\n<p>Fusarium-svampe er en vidt udbredt gruppe af svampe, der kan producere svampetoksiner som fumonisin og T-2-toksin samt metabolitter med forskellige strukturer og potentiel medicinsk v\u00e6rdi som alkaloider, peptider, amider, terpener, kinoner og pyranoseketoner. I screeningen af endofytiske bakteriers antibakterielle aktivitet i planter p\u00e5 et tidligt stadie fandt man, at et risfermenteringsprodukt af endofytisk Fusarium sp. HU0174 havde god antagonistisk aktivitet mod citrusgr\u00f8nskimmel. Til dette form\u00e5l blev der anvendt naturproduktkemiske metoder til at isolere, identificere og evaluere den antifungale aktivitet af sekund\u00e6re metabolitter i risfermenteringsproduktet fra denne svamp.<\/p>\n<p>Cykliske peptidmikrobielle afledte svampemidler har karakter af let nedbrydning og lave restkoncentrationer, blandt andet er natamycin blevet brugt i vid udstr\u00e6kning som et naturligt antibakterielt middel i f\u00f8devareindustrien i flere lande og regioner. Cykliske esterpeptidforbindelser har biologiske aktiviteter s\u00e5som antibakterielle og antitumoreffekter og tiltr\u00e6kker i stigende grad stor opm\u00e6rksomhed. Forskningen i den antibakterielle aktivitet af cykliske esterpeptidforbindelser er relativt moden, og nogle er blevet brugt i klinisk praksis, herunder antibiotika colistin og daptomycin, som kan bruges til at behandle sygdomme for\u00e5rsaget af henholdsvis multiresistente Gram-negative og Gram-positive bakterier. Der er relativt lidt forskning i den svampedr\u00e6bende aktivitet, herunder de h\u00e6mmende virkninger af clavivopsiner A og B p\u00e5 Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus og Aspergillus niger med MIC-v\u00e6rdier p\u00e5 henholdsvis 8, 4 og 16 \u03bc g\/mL; Verlamens A og B viste st\u00e6rke h\u00e6mmende virkninger p\u00e5 mangoanthracnosepatogen med MIC-v\u00e6rdier p\u00e5 henholdsvis 4,9 og 9,8 \u03bc g\/mL. Unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at acutatum B og C udviser st\u00e6rk antagonistisk aktivitet mod \u00e6blesortesvamp, \u00e6blek\u00e6desvamp og risspiralsvamp med de samme MIC-v\u00e6rdier p\u00e5 henholdsvis 1,1 og 10 \u03bc g\/mL. Samtidig viser det homologe fusaripeptid A fra acutatum B st\u00e6rke h\u00e6mmende virkninger p\u00e5 Candida albicans, Candida albicans, Candida albicans og Aspergillus fumigatus med IC50-v\u00e6rdier fra 0,11 til 0,24 \u03bc M, lidt lavere end amphotericin B.<br \/>\nDenne unders\u00f8gelse isolerede og identificerede syv forbindelser, herunder fem cykliske esterpeptider og to heterocykliske forbindelser, fra ethylacetatfraktionen af risfermenteringsprodukter fra Fusarium sp. HU0174, en endofytisk svamp i Pinus massoniana. Blandt dem var forbindelse 1 en ny forbindelse, der beriger mangfoldigheden af sekund\u00e6re metabolitter produceret af Fusarium. Resultaterne af den svampedr\u00e6bende aktivitet viste, at de cykliske esterpeptidforbindelser acutatum A-D (1-4) havde en h\u00e6mmende effekt p\u00e5 citrusgr\u00f8n skimmel og halvm\u00e5neformet skimmel ved 200 \u03bcg, men ikke havde nogen h\u00e6mmende aktivitet p\u00e5 Aspergillus niger og Aspergillus flavus.
