Mere end 90% af PD er sporadisk, og ca. 10% af PD er arvelig. De vigtigste patologiske og biokemiske tr\u00e6k ved Parkinsons sygdom er et progressivt tab af dopaminerge neuroner i substantia nigra, hvilket f\u00f8rer til et fald i det striatale dopaminniveau. 1-Methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin (MPTP) har en h\u00e6mmende effekt p\u00e5 mitokondriekompleks I, og n\u00e5r det kommer ind i kroppen, genererer det aktive 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridin-ioner (MPP+). Med uddybningen af forskningen i apoptosemekanismen i forekomsten og udviklingen af PD har kombinationen af effektive ingredienser i traditionel kinesisk medicin vist betydelige fordele i den neurobeskyttende behandling af PD. Vores tidligere forskning viste, at gastrodin og isocrocetin begge ud\u00f8ver neurobeskyttende effekter i modeller for Parkinsons sygdom in vitro og in vivo. Overdreven apoptose af dopaminerge neuroner spiller en n\u00f8glerolle i udviklingen af PD, og forskellige \u00e5rsager til PD kan i sidste ende f\u00f8re til udbrud af PD gennem den f\u00e6lles vej til celleapoptose. MPTP optages og oxideres af gliaceller gennem blod-hjerne-barrieren for at generere MPP+. Signalvejene ERK1\/2, Akt og GSK-3 \u03b2 spiller en vigtig rolle i de neurobeskyttende virkninger af kombinationen af gastrodin og isorhynchophyllin.<\/p>\n<p>Niacin kan omdannes til NAD+ og NADP+ under p\u00e5virkning af enzymer, n\u00e5r det er kommet ind i kroppen.
