Denne planteart bruges almindeligvis som gigt-, \u00f8dem- og abortmedicin i mange lande i Sydasien og som smertestillende, afgiftende, insektdr\u00e6bende, dysenteri- og malariamedicin i de sydlige provinser og regioner i Kina. Der findes 10 arter af planter i sl\u00e6gten Gonna i Kina, hovedsageligt fordelt i provinser og regioner som Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan og Taiwan. P\u00e5 nuv\u00e6rende tidspunkt har forskere i ind- og udland opdaget komponenter som styrenlakton, alkaloider, terpener, flavonoider og kumarin fra planter af Colubrica-sl\u00e6gten. Blandt dem er coumarin og styrenlacton karakteristiske komponenter i planter af Colubrica-sl\u00e6gten med st\u00e6rk antitumoraktivitet og er kendt som \"morgendagens stjerner mod kr\u00e6ft\".<br \/>\nG. yunnanensis, ogs\u00e5 kendt som Yunnan Yunnanensis, er en planteart, der tilh\u00f8rer familien Annonaceae og er endemisk i Kina. Den vokser i omr\u00e5der i 350 meters h\u00f8jde, for det meste under bjergskove, og er hovedsageligt udbredt i Yunnan og andre dele af Kina. P\u00e5 nuv\u00e6rende tidspunkt er der ingen forskningsrapporter om den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning og biologiske aktivitet af Yunnanxiang. Nitten forbindelser blev isoleret og identificeret, herunder alkaloider (1-9, 18), styrenlaktoner (10-12), flavonoider (13) og triterpenoider (19). Alle forbindelser blev isoleret fra denne plante for f\u00f8rste gang, og den cytotoksiske aktivitet af ni forbindelser blev testet p\u00e5 humane tumorcellelinjer HCC1806, HCT116 og Hela ved hj\u00e6lp af SRB-metoden. Og for f\u00f8rste gang viste forbindelse 12 sig at have en signifikant h\u00e6mmende virkning p\u00e5 spredningen af HCC1806- og HCT116-cancerceller med IC50-v\u00e6rdier p\u00e5 henholdsvis 5,2 \u00b1 0,7 og 3,1 \u00b1 0,5 \u03bc M.<br \/>\nStyrenlaktonforbindelser er karakteristiske bestanddele af planter i Colubriaceae-familien, og de findes i vid udstr\u00e6kning i planter af Colubriaceae-sl\u00e6gten. Goniothalamin er den f\u00f8rste styrenlaktonforbindelse, der blev isoleret fra barken af Cryptocaryacalooneura af Hlubucek og Robertson, og ogs\u00e5 den f\u00f8rste styrenlaktonforbindelse, der blev isoleret fra planter af sl\u00e6gten Goniothalamine. Goniothalamin blev f\u00f8rst opdaget som en embryotoksisk forbindelse, men senere unders\u00f8gelser viste, at denne forbindelse har god antitumoraktivitet og cytotoksisk virkning og har en betydelig effekt p\u00e5 mavekr\u00e6ft (HGC-27), brystkr\u00e6ft (MCF-7 T47D \u3001 MDA-MB-231) \u3001 Leuk\u00e6mi (HL-60), \u00e6ggestokkr\u00e6ft (Caov-3) og andre kr\u00e6ftceller har betydelige h\u00e6mmende virkninger p\u00e5 spredning, og der blev ikke observeret nogen toksicitetsbevis efter administration af goniothalamin til mus med Ehrlich-tumorer, hvilket indikerer, at goniothalamin har god biokompatibilitet, det vil sige, at det h\u00e6mmer tumorv\u00e6kst uden bivirkninger; Goniothalamin regulerer hovedsageligt kr\u00e6ftcellecyklussen og inducerer kr\u00e6ftcelleapoptose gennem oxidativ stressrespons og caspase-aktivering.
