Den har et omfattende n\u00e6ringsindhold, betydelige sundhedsm\u00e6ssige fordele og en st\u00e6rk evne til at modst\u00e5 modgang og stress. Blandt dem er saponiner de vigtigste n\u00e6ringsstoffer, som har biologiske aktiviteter som antioxidanter og fjernelse af frie radikaler, smertestillende, antiinflammatoriske og svampedr\u00e6bende egenskaber og kan bruges som r\u00e5materialer i medicinalindustrien.
