Brugen af sukker har ogs\u00e5 nogle ulemper, s\u00e5som sukkerflow osv. For at overvinde disse mangler kan der tils\u00e6ttes andre s\u00f8demidler, s\u00e5som natriumsaccharin, s\u00f8demiddel. Natriumsaccharin har en s\u00f8dme, der er 500 gange st\u00f8rre end saccharose, og s\u00f8demidlets s\u00f8dme er 30-40 gange st\u00f8rre end saccharose.<\/p>\n<p>Disse s\u00f8destoffer p\u00e5virker ikke produktets farve, behandlingen er praktisk, kan producere s\u00f8dme eller kan intensivere s\u00f8dmefornemmelsen og kaldes ikke-n\u00e6ringsrige s\u00f8destoffer eller syntetiske s\u00f8destoffer.
