Derfor anvendes receptormodeller for disse neurotransmittere ofte i udviklingen af antipsykotiske l\u00e6gemidler, blandt hvilke MT1-receptoragonister som circadin, ramelteon, agomelatin osv. er blevet anvendt klinisk til behandling af sygdomme i centralnervesystemet som f.eks. depression.<br \/>\nTe fremstilles af de sp\u00e6de blade eller knopper fra Camellia-planter i familien Theaceae og har en lang historie med medicinsk og spiselig anvendelse. Moderne farmakologisk forskning har vist, at te har mange farmakologiske aktiviteter som f.eks. stimulering af centralnervesystemet, diurese, antioxidant, antiviral og blodtrykss\u00e6nkende. Te-polyphenoler betragtes generelt som det materielle grundlag for te-aktivitet. Det materielle grundlag for teens antipsykotiske aktivitet er dog ikke helt klart, og der er kun f\u00e5 rapporter om teens virkning p\u00e5 melatoninreceptorens funktion.<\/p>\n<p>For yderligere at belyse det materielle grundlag for tebladenes antipsykotiske aktivitet fandt denne unders\u00f8gelse, at ethylacetatdelen af frisk bladekstrakt fra Puer-te (Camellia sinensis) havde en betydelig stimulerende effekt p\u00e5 melatoninreceptorer. Baseret p\u00e5 testmodellen for melatoninreceptorstimulerende aktivitet blev der under vejledning af aktivitetssporing anvendt silikagels\u00f8jlekromatografi og h\u00f8jtydende v\u00e6skekromatografi til at spore og adskille de aktive dele af tebladene. Calciumflowdetektionsmetoden blev brugt til at teste den stimulerende effekt af de isolerede forbindelser p\u00e5 melatoninreceptorer p\u00e5 HEK293-cellemodeller for at give et mere teoretisk grundlag for den videre udvikling og udnyttelse af teblade og forskning og udvikling af nye antipsykotiske l\u00e6gemidler.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Moderne farmakologisk forskning har vist, at melatonins receptorfunktion er t\u00e6t forbundet med udbrud og behandling af psykiske sygdomme som depression og angst; Te har farmakologisk aktivitet, der ophidser centralnervesystemet, men dets aktive stofgrundlag er ikke s\u00e6rlig klart. For yderligere at belyse det materielle grundlag for teens antipsykotiske aktivitet brugte denne unders\u00f8gelse derfor melatoninreceptorens MTT-assay til at teste modellen.
