Kemoterapi bruges ofte i fremskredne stadier med almindelige kemoterapimidler som cisplatin og 5-fluorouracil. Gennem omfattende screening fandt vi ud af, at ekstracellul\u00e6re polysaccharider isoleret fra \u00e6ble-Alternaria-fermenteringsbouillon har god antitumoraktivitet, hvilket minder os om, at plantepatogener kan v\u00e6re en vigtig kilde til antitumoraktive polysaccharider.
