Denne unders\u00f8gelse brugte Epimedium sagittatum som plantemateriale og isolerede en ny polysaccharidkomponent EP80 fra Epimedium sagittatum ved hj\u00e6lp af ethanolfraktioneringsteknologi. Strukturen af EP80 blev karakteriseret ved UV-spektroskopi, Fourier-transformeret infrar\u00f8d spektroskopi, cirkul\u00e6r dichroisme, Congo-r\u00f8d-eksperiment, scanning-elektronmikroskopi og termogravimetrisk analyse. Dets in vitro-antioxidantkapacitet og virkninger p\u00e5 aktiviteterne af alkoholmetabolisme-relaterede enzymer ethanoldehydrogenase og aldehyddehydrogenase blev unders\u00f8gt. Resultaterne viste, at EP80 best\u00e5r af fire monosaccharider, nemlig galactose, arabinose, glucose og xylose, med en molekylv\u00e6gt p\u00e5 3,2 \u00d7 104Da. Det har et pyranosidskelet og en tredobbelt helixstruktur. Det udviser en positiv bomuldseffekt n\u00e6r 230 nm og en negativ bomuldseffekt n\u00e6r 260 nm. Mikrostrukturen er uregelm\u00e6ssig og har fremtr\u00e6dende rynkede strukturer. Det termiske v\u00e6gttab er hovedsageligt koncentreret mellem 240-350 \u00b0C. EP80 har en vis antioxidantaktivitet og har en betydelig aktiverende effekt p\u00e5 ethanoldehydrogenase og aldehyddehydrogenase. Dens aktiverende effekt p\u00e5 aldehyddehydrogenase er st\u00e6rkere end den p\u00e5 ethanoldehydrogenase, og det er v\u00e6rd at unders\u00f8ge yderligere.
