Den har forskellige farmakologiske aktiviteter som f.eks. antibakterielle, antioxidante, antiinflammatoriske og kr\u00e6fth\u00e6mmende egenskaber. Tidligere unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at p-HBA er den aktive metabolit af hydroxybenzaldehyd, en aktiv ingrediens i hakkede gr\u00f8ntsager, som ud\u00f8ver anti-colitis ved at h\u00e6mme inflammatoriske reaktioner og forbedre skader p\u00e5 tarmslimhinden. Man kan se, at p-HBA kan tjene som en potentiel forbindelse til behandling af colitis ulcerosa og har gode udviklingsmuligheder. Forskergruppens forel\u00f8bige forskningsresultater viste imidlertid, at p-HBA har d\u00e5rlig vandopl\u00f8selighed og ledsages af bivirkninger s\u00e5som splenomegali, hvilket alvorligt p\u00e5virker dets videre udvikling. For at bevare sammenh\u00e6ngen med de farmakologiske unders\u00f8gelser vil C57BL\/6-mus, som histopatologisk minder mest om colitis hos mennesker, fortsat blive brugt til farmakokinetiske fors\u00f8g. Baseret p\u00e5 farmakologiske og sikkerhedsm\u00e6ssige eksperimenter blev den endelige dosis af p-HBA fastsat til 20 mg\/kg, og dosis af sHBA efter saltkoefficientkorrektion var 20, 50 og 100 mg\/kg. I farmakokinetiske unders\u00f8gelser blev to l\u00e6gemidler administreret i samme dosis p\u00e5 20 mg \/ kg; I unders\u00f8gelsen af organisatorisk distribution blev begge l\u00e6gemidler valgt til den optimale dosis. Da den optimale dosis for p-HBA var 20mg\/kg og den optimale dosis for s-HBA var 100mg\/kg, blev p-HBA (20mg\/kg) og sHBA (100mg\/kg) med en 5 gange forskel i dosis valgt til enkeltindgivelse for at unders\u00f8ge deres v\u00e6vsfordeling. Derudover blev der designet farmakokinetiske eksperimenter med s-HBA i krabbespisende makakaber. Efter \u00e6kvivalent dosisomregning blev de endelige doser bestemt til at v\u00e6re 4, 10 og 20 mg\/kg med en pr\u00f8vetagningstid p\u00e5 6 timer og i alt 13 tidspunkter.<br \/>\nGraden af absorption af l\u00e6gemidler i kroppen p\u00e5virker direkte deres effektivitet, og eliminationshastigheden er t\u00e6t forbundet med deres virkningsvarighed. Fra de farmakokinetiske eksperimenter i mus viste b\u00e5de p-HBA og s-HBA gode farmakokinetiske processer efter oral administration med hurtig absorption og eliminering i plasma og ingen \u00e5benlys ophobning in vivo. Ved samme dosis var Cmax og AUC for s-HBA lidt h\u00f8jere end for p-HBA, mens V og Cl var lidt lavere, men forskellen var ikke statistisk signifikant. Dette kan skyldes den d\u00e5rlige vandopl\u00f8selighed af pHBA, som, n\u00e5r det omdannes til natriumsalte, i h\u00f8j grad \u00f8ger vandopl\u00f8seligheden af s-HBA. Efter oral administration kan det fordeles mere j\u00e6vnt i forskellige lag af maveslim og absorberes mere fuldst\u00e6ndigt. S-HBA udviser ogs\u00e5 gode farmakokinetiske processer hos krabbespisende makakaber og absorberes og elimineres hurtigt; Under tre doser oral administration viste Cmax og AUC0-t af s-HBA hos mus og krabbespisende aber et godt line\u00e6rt forhold til dosis. Derudover var MRT0-t, V og Cl af s-HBA hos mus lidt lavere end hos krabbespisende aber, med en forskel p\u00e5 2-3 gange, og forskellen var ikke for signifikant. Samlet set er processen med s-HBA i gnavere og ikke-gnavere relativt stabil uden specifik absorption eller eliminering.<br \/>\nN\u00e5r l\u00e6gemidlerne er kommet ind i kroppen, bliver de transporteret til forskellige v\u00e6v gennem kredsl\u00f8bet. P\u00e5 grund af forskellene i l\u00e6gemidlets fordeling i kroppen kan det p\u00e5virke den terapeutiske effekt, ophobning og toksiske bivirkninger af l\u00e6gemidler. Derfor er det af stor betydning for udvikling og forbedring af l\u00e6gemidler at studere fordelingen af l\u00e6gemidler i forskellige v\u00e6v. De organisatoriske distributionsresultater viste, at efter administration af p-HBA og s-HBA blev begge hurtigt distribueret og elimineret i v\u00e6vet med spidsbelastningstider koncentreret mellem 0,03-0,17 timer og eliminering, der oversteg 80% efter 1 time. PHBA er bredt fordelt i v\u00e6vene med den h\u00f8jeste koncentration i nyrerne og leveren, efterfulgt af lungerne, hjertet og milten.
