Tanggute white thorn har st\u00e6rke \u00f8kologiske egenskaber som t\u00f8rketolerance og tolerance over for salt og alkali. Det er en banebrydende tr\u00e6art til l\u00e6hegn og sandfiksering i \u00f8rkenomr\u00e5der. P\u00e5 den baggrund har nogle forskere ogs\u00e5 gennemf\u00f8rt unders\u00f8gelser af de forskellige medicinske komponenters funktioner, herunder flavonoidernes farmakologiske virkninger.<\/p>\n<p>Flavonoider henviser til en r\u00e6kke forbindelser, hvor to phenylringe, der indeholder phenoliske hydroxylgrupper (A- og B-ringe), er forbundet med hinanden gennem tre kulstofatomer p\u00e5 den centrale C-ring for at danne en C6-C3-C6-struktur (se figur 1). Wu et al. rapporterede, at flavonol (dvs. 3-OH p\u00e5 C-ringen) har en god h\u00e6mmende effekt p\u00e5 de fleste bakterier. Cheng et al. fandt, at flavonoider, der indeholder funktionelle grupper som 2,3 dobbeltbindinger p\u00e5 C-ringen, 5-OH p\u00e5 A-ringen og 3 ', 4' - dihydroxy p\u00e5 B-ringen, er med til at h\u00e6mme spredningen af tumorceller. Flere og flere unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at indholdet og typerne af flavonoider er mere udbredt i nogle vilde planter med st\u00e6rk stressresistens. Forskning i den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning af Tanggutes hvide tornplanter har ogs\u00e5 vist, at de indeholder rigeligt med flavonoider i kroppen. I \u00f8jeblikket er fire hovedkategorier af flavonoider blevet isoleret fra deres kroppe. P\u00e5 nuv\u00e6rende tidspunkt er der en lang r\u00e6kke unders\u00f8gelser af udvinding, adskillelse, rensning og kvantitativ analyse af forskellige kemiske komponenter i Atractylodes macrocephala b\u00e5de nationalt og internationalt.
