Den er ogs\u00e5 kendt som Golden Hibiscus, Dryland Lotus, Golden Plum Grass og Golden Knot. Den er hovedsageligt udbredt i de nordlige dele af Shanxi-provinsen og Henan-provinsen, den nordvestlige del af Hebei-provinsen, den \u00f8stlige del af den autonome region Indre Mongoliet og de vestlige dele af Liaoning-provinsen og Jilin-provinsen i Kina. Den gyldne lotusblomst blev f\u00f8rste gang registreret i Compendium of Materia Medica, hvor det hedder, at den har en \"bl\u00f8d og bitter smag, ingen toksicitet og en kold natur\". I 1977-udgaven af Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (Volume 1) indgik oprindeligt l\u00e6geurten Jinlianhua, som blev beskrevet som havende en bitter og lidt kold smag. Moderne farmakologisk forskning har vist, at Jinlian-blomsten har forskellige biologiske aktiviteter, f.eks. antibakterielle, antiinflammatoriske, antivirale, antioxidante, antitumorale, feberneds\u00e6ttende og smertestillende. Dens kemiske komponenter omfatter hovedsageligt flavonoider, fenoliske syrer, alkaloider osv.<\/p>\n<p>Gennem en omfattende litteraturgennemgang har man fundet ud af, at der er relativt mange flavonoider i lotusblomster. I \u00f8jeblikket fokuserer forskningen i de effektive komponenter i lotusblomster i Kina hovedsageligt p\u00e5 flavonoider, med relativt f\u00e5 rapporter om fenoliske syrekomponenter. Desuden er forskning i udvindingsprocessen af totale fenoliske syrer fra lotusblomster endnu sj\u00e6ldnere. Unders\u00f8gelser har dog vist, at de phenoliske syrekomponenter i lotusblomster har h\u00f8j biotilg\u00e6ngelighed, og kroppens optagelse af phenoliske syrekomponenter i lotusblomster er betydeligt bedre end for flavonoider. I de senere \u00e5r har der v\u00e6ret flere og flere forskningsrapporter om den farmakologiske aktivitet af totale fenoliske syrer i traditionel kinesisk medicin. Det har vist sig, at de samlede fenolsyrer i traditionel kinesisk medicin har forskellige farmakologiske aktiviteter som f.eks. antibakterielle, antiinflammatoriske, antioxidante og antivirale. Nogle unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at fenoliske syreforbindelser i traditionel kinesisk medicin som naturlige antioxidanter har st\u00e6rkere antioxidantaktivitet end almindelige kostplanter, og det har ogs\u00e5 vist sig, at de samlede fenoliske syrer i nogle planter har tyrosinaseh\u00e6mmende virkninger. Desuden bruges plantepolyfenoler i vid udstr\u00e6kning i kosmetik p\u00e5 grund af deres anti-aging og fugtgivende effekter. De optimale ekstraktionsbetingelser blev opn\u00e5et som f\u00f8lger: fast-v\u00e6ske-forhold p\u00e5 1:40, ethanolkoncentration p\u00e5 60%, tilbagesvalingstid p\u00e5 90 minutter og tilbagesvalingstemperatur p\u00e5 60 \u2103. Under disse betingelser kunne udbyttet af totale fenoliske syrer fra lotusblomster n\u00e5 92,245 mg\/g. Denne metode er stabil, gennemf\u00f8rlig og har god repeterbarhed, hvilket l\u00e6gger grundlaget for yderligere forskning og udvikling af totale fenoliske syrer i lotusblomster. Resultaterne af in vitro-antioxidantaktivitetsunders\u00f8gelsen viste, at inden for koncentrationsomr\u00e5det 0,01 ~ 0,05 mg\/ml \u00f8gede den samlede phenolsyre i Jinlian-blomsten gradvist sin evne til at fjerne DPPH-frie radikaler og hydroxyl-frie radikaler samt sin reduktionsevne med god in vitro-antioxidantaktivitet. Resultaterne af cellefors\u00f8gene viste, at de eksperimentelle grupper af totale fenoliske syrer i lotusblomster i koncentrationer fra 62,5 til 500 \u03bc g\/mL kunne h\u00e6mme tyrosinaseaktiviteten betydeligt og have et vist blegningspotentiale.
