Derfor er det af stor betydning at finde l\u00e6gemidler til forebyggelse og behandling af AKI for at redde livet for patienter med denne sygdom. Traditionel kinesisk medicin har karakter af flere komponenter og m\u00e5l og har gjort betydelige fremskridt inden for forebyggelse og behandling af AKI.<\/p>\n<p>Olibanum stammer fra olivenplanten Boswellia carterii Birdw og sl\u00e6gten B Bhaw dajiana Birdw. De mest betydningsfulde er antiinflammatoriske og antitumoregenskaber samt mange andre farmakologiske aktiviteter s\u00e5som maves\u00e5r, immunregulering, lipids\u00e6nkning, nyrebeskyttelse, antibakterielle virkninger osv. Forskningsresultaterne viser, at AK-BA, \u03b1-BA og andre aktive ingredienser er de vigtigste aktive ingredienser til behandling af AKI. Der er litteraturrapporter om, at \u03b1 - BA kan h\u00e6mme produktionen af proinflammatoriske cytokiner (TNF - \u03b1 og IL-1 \u03b2) stimuleret af LPS i U937-makrofager, hvilket bekr\u00e6fter dets antiinflammatoriske egenskaber in vitro.
