Forskerteamet fandt i den tidlige fase, at der er visse forskelle i yangchun-sandpr\u00f8ver produceret i Xishuangbanna og Maguan, Yunnan. Xiao et al. analyserede og sammenlignede forskellene i endofytiske svampe i st\u00e6ngler og blade mellem Yangchunsha i Yangchun City i Guangdong-provinsen og Yangchunsha i Lushui City i Yunnan-provinsen. Resultaterne viste, at der var mange typer endofytiske svampe i de to, og at deres sammens\u00e6tning var forskellig med forskellige dominerende stammer. Ovenst\u00e5ende forskning kan give et vist referencegrundlag for yderligere at udforske forskellene i v\u00e6rtsplanten Yangchunsha.<\/p>\n<p>Sandkerner kan bruges som en af kilderne til at udvikle stoffer med antibakterielle og antioxidante virkninger. Cao et al. analyserede de h\u00e6mmende virkninger af ethanolekstrakter fra blade og st\u00e6ngler af Panax notoginseng p\u00e5 almindelige bakterier, og resultaterne viste, at ethanolekstraktet fra sandkerneblade havde den bedste h\u00e6mmende virkning p\u00e5 Staphylococcus aureus, mens ethanolekstraktet fra sandkernest\u00e6ngler havde den bedste h\u00e6mmende virkning p\u00e5 Bacillus subtilis; Cao et al. fandt ogs\u00e5, at petroleumsether-ekstraktet af r\u00e5 sandkerner havde den mest signifikante antibakterielle effekt p\u00e5 Escherichia coli; vandekstraktet af sandkerner har ogs\u00e5 en h\u00e6mmende effekt p\u00e5 methicillinresistente Staphylococcus aureus; Tang et al. fandt, at nogle r\u00e5ekstrakter af sandkerner udviste st\u00e6rk in vitro-antioxidantaktivitet. Desuden opdagede Zhang et al. en ny sesquiterpenforbindelse fra de sekund\u00e6re metabolitter af den endofytiske svamp Letendraea helminthicola A696 i sandkerner.
