Med den fortsatte uddybning af forskningen i de aktive ingredienser i krysantemum er der flere og flere forarbejdede produkter relateret til krysantemum. Krysantemumst\u00e6ngler og -blade, som er biprodukter fra krysantemumh\u00f8sten, bliver dog normalt brugt som dyrefoder eller kasseret. I \u00f8jeblikket er der mangel p\u00e5 dybdeg\u00e5ende og systematisk forskning. Tidligere unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at krysantemumst\u00e6ngler og -blade indeholder ressourcebaserede kemiske komponenter som flavonoider, fenoliske syrer, polysaccharider, flygtige olier, nukleosider og aminosyrer, som ligner krysantemumkomponenter. TNF er en af de vigtige pro-inflammatoriske faktorer, blandt hvilke TNF - \u03b1 kan stimulere vasodilatation og \u00f8ge endotelcellepermeabiliteten. Apigenin 7-O - \u03b2 - D-glucosid kan lindre dextransulfatinduceret colitis ved at h\u00e6mme MAPK-vejen og regulere TNF - \u03b1-ekspression; Moderne farmakologiske unders\u00f8gelser har vist, at isochlorogen syre C kan reducere ekspressionen og transkriptionen af TNF - \u03b1 i makrofager; Ud over at spille en vigtig rolle i apoptose fremmer CASP ogs\u00e5 produktionen af pro-inflammatoriske cytokiner. Der er relativt f\u00e5 forskningsrapporter om andre ikke-medicinske dele som r\u00f8dder, st\u00e6ngler, blade osv. Den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning af ikke-medicinske dele af krysantemum minder meget om krysantemum og har en betydelig biologisk aktivitet. Men p\u00e5 grund af manglende dybdeg\u00e5ende forskning er disse effektive ingredienser ikke blevet udnyttet og udviklet ordentligt.
