T. Wang og udg\u00f8r ca. 30% af t\u00f8rv\u00e6gten af de m\u00f8re skud. Det har antioxidant, antiinflammatorisk, antiviral, anticancer, antibakteriel, tr\u00e6thedsd\u00e6mpende, angstd\u00e6mpende, hypoglyk\u00e6misk, hepatobeskyttende, hjertebeskyttende, Alzheimers sygdom-lindrende og astmalindrende virkning.<br \/>\nDHM har god sikkerhed, og der blev udf\u00f8rt akutte orale toksicitetstest, langtidstoksicitetstest og genotoksicitetstest p\u00e5 rotter og mus, som alle var negative. Stabiliteten af DHM er betydeligt svagere end andre flavonoider, fordi den har 6 hydroxylgrupper, is\u00e6r hydroxylgruppen i B-ringen, som let oxideres. PH \u2265 9, h\u00f8j temperatur og lyseksponering kan fremskynde DHM-oxidation, hvilket i h\u00f8j grad begr\u00e6nser dets anvendelse. Opl\u00f8seligheden af DHM i vand ved 25 \u00b0C er 263,54 mg\/L, og opvarmning kan forbedre vandopl\u00f8seligheden. I et simuleret ford\u00f8jelsessystem udviser DHM pseudo f\u00f8rsteordens kinetisk nedbrydning til ikke-flavonoide forbindelser ved en pH-v\u00e6rdi p\u00e5 6,8. egenskaber. For eksempel kan indf\u00f8relsen af en methylgruppe i DHM's struktur h\u00e6mme COVID-19 betydeligt.
