Sanghuang er en ber\u00f8mt traditionel medicinsk svamp i Kina, og den tidligst registrerede medicinske anvendelse af Sanghuang kan spores tilbage til \"Shennong Bencao Jing\", hvor den omtales som \"Sanghuang-\u00f8re\". Det bruges til at behandle kvinders kollaps og diarr\u00e9 samt til at behandle m\u00e6nds feber og ogs\u00e5 til at behandle blodstase og r\u00f8dt blod. P\u00e5 grund af de mange forskellige store por\u00f8se bakterier med lignende farver og h\u00e5rdhed er det sv\u00e6rt at skelne dem fra hinanden, s\u00e5 der har v\u00e6ret stor uenighed om artsbestemmelsen af Sanghuang i lang tid. Litteraturgennemgang har imidlertid vist, at forskning i Sanghuangs kemiske sammens\u00e6tning hovedsageligt fokuserer p\u00e5 frugtlegemet, og der er relativt lidt forskning i den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning af Sanghuang fra fermenteringskilder. Derfor blev der i dette eksperiment isoleret 17 forbindelser fra det faste fermenteringsprodukt af Vanisan Yellow, og deres in vitro-antioxidantaktivitet, \u03b1-glucosidaseh\u00e6mmende aktivitet og xanthinoxidaseh\u00e6mmende aktivitet blev screenet. Forbindelserne 1-9 blev isoleret for f\u00f8rste gang fra Vanisan Yellow og h\u00f8rer til ionon-derivaterne. I ovenst\u00e5ende aktivitetsscreeningseksperimenter viste kun forbindelserne 7-9 svag \u03b1-glucosidaseh\u00e6mning. Forbindelserne 10-13 har h\u00f8je fjernelseshastigheder for ABTS-, DPPH- og hydroxylradikaler, hvilket indikerer deres fremragende in vitro-antioxidantaktivitet. Forbindelserne 10 og 13 tilh\u00f8rer sm\u00e5molekyl\u00e6re phenolsyrer, mens forbindelserne 11 og 12 er typiske styren-\u03b1-pyranonderivater af Sanghuang-phenoler, hvilket tyder p\u00e5, at antioxidantaktiviteten af forbindelserne 10-13 stammer fra de phenoliske hydroxylgrupper i deres struktur. Forbindelserne 10 og 11 viste ogs\u00e5 gode h\u00e6mmende virkninger p\u00e5 xanthinoxidase, mens forbindelse 17 udviste god h\u00e6mmende aktivitet p\u00e5 alfa-glucosidase. Sammenfattende har denne unders\u00f8gelse beriget den kemiske sammens\u00e6tning af de faste fermenteringsprodukter fra Vanisan Yellow og lagt grundlaget for udvikling og anvendelse af dem.
