Mod-gruppen i denne unders\u00f8gelse oplevede denne dysbiose, og efter Sal B-intervention blev denne dysbiose v\u00e6sentligt genoprettet. P\u00e5 sl\u00e6gtsniveau \u00f8gede Sal B-interventionen signifikant den relative forekomst af Lactobacillus og reducerede den relative forekomst af Fecal og Bifidobacterium. Alle disse resultater viser, at SalB kan lindre leverskader ved at regulere tarmens mikrobiota.<br \/>\nSCFA'er er den vigtigste energikilde for tyktarmens celler, hvilket reducerer lokal inflammation og fremmer produktionen af antimikrobielle peptider, som hj\u00e6lper med at opretholde tarmbarrieren og reducere tarmens permeabilitet. Tilskud med SCFA'er kan forsinke udviklingen af leverskade ved at reducere transmission af patogene molekyl\u00e6re m\u00f8nstre, herunder bakterielle endotoksiner, via portvenen. Efter kvantitativ analyse af SCFA'er i musenes tarm fandt dette studie, at niveauerne af eddikesyre, hexansyre, isobutyric acid, isovaleric acid, propionic acid og valeric acid var signifikant reduceret i Mod-gruppen, mens Sal B-interventionen genoprettede niveauerne af isobutyric acid, isovaleric acid, propionic acid og valeric acid. Det kan h\u00e6nge sammen med den \u00f8gede forekomst af Firmicutes i Sal B-gruppens tarmmikrobiota, som vi tidligere har identificeret. Der er forskningsrapporter om, at Firmicutes udg\u00f8r omkring 60% af tarmbakterierne og er t\u00e6t forbundet med produktionen af SCFA'er. Faldet i eddikesyreniveauer i b\u00e5de Mod-gruppen og Sal B-gruppen formodes at v\u00e6re relateret til den relative reduktion i m\u00e6ngden af eddikesyresekreterende bakteriesamfund, s\u00e5som Parabacterioides-sl\u00e6gten. Ud over at lindre leverskader ved at forbedre tarmbarrieren har nyere litteratur ogs\u00e5 vist, at SCFA'er kan forbedre leversygdomme som NASH ved at h\u00e6mme pro-inflammatorisk makrofagaktivering i leverv\u00e6vet og dermed reducere inflammatoriske reaktioner. Vores tidligere forskning observerede ikke effekten af Sal B p\u00e5 tarmbarrieren hos mus med leverskade. Derfor spekulerer vi i, at forbedringen af leverskader med SCFA'er kan v\u00e6re relateret til deres direkte effekt p\u00e5 celler i leverv\u00e6v, efter at de er kommet ind i leveren gennem portvenen.<br \/>\nSammenfattende kan Sal B h\u00e6mme CCl4-induceret leverskade hos mus ved at genoprette balancen i tarmens mikrobiota.
